Nestled behind high white walls in Vancouver's bustling Chinatown is the exquisite Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, the first full-scale, Ming Dynasty style, classical Chinese garden built outside of China. You will be enriched by the symbolism, enthralled with the intricate carvings, mesmorized by the beautiful courtyards and the architecture of the pavilions. Here the essential and opposing elements of nature reveal the infinite and subtle contrasts of Taoist yin and yang. Throughout, treasured Tai Hu limestone rocks blend with plants, trees, and jade-green water.
To enhance your experience and refresh your heart take a guided interpretive tour and learn about the centuries-old methods and imported materials the Chinese craftsmen used. Your visit may also coincide with art exhibits, horticultural displays, interactive workshops, the celebration of Chinese festivals and music performances, such as the popular Enchanted Evening series.

We promise a visit you will never forget!
